Located inside the Scholar Hotel, Big Spring Spirits brings its highly acclaimed cocktail menu and locally-produced spirits to the heart of downtown State College. This newest tasting room will offer much of what guests have come to expect from Big Spring’s Bellefonte tasting room: balanced, well-crafted cocktails made with spirits whose ingredients are locally-sourced and produced; the option to partake in a spirit tasting of three or six of Big Spring’s line of 14 spirits; or to order a cocktail flight from Big Spring’s line of bottled ready-to-drink cocktails. These are experiences no one currently offers in the area, and is what sets Big Spring apart when it comes to a local beverage experience. The Tasting Room is located on the main floor of the hotel and also offers a small menu of food items to enjoy with your adult beverage.

The Scholar State College has two meeting spaces totaling approximately 4,224 square feet. Our Glennland room (approx. 1,250 square feet) can accommodate up to 84 people while our Campobello room (approx. 2,992 square feet) can accommodate up to 136 people. Our team of talented event coordinators will assist you with all of the details, from audio-visual equipment and room set-up, to choosing the perfect catering menu. Combine that with our nearby parking and newly renovated guest rooms, and you’ve got a package that insures your guests will have an experience they won’t soon forget.
